For those of you who have visited
both Disneyland/California Adventure and Disney World, what
is your favorite attraction in the Disney
California parks that is not also located at Disney World?
What makes this attraction special?
Answers posted to the list:
Indiana Jones and the Temple of the Forbidden Eye,
hands down!

I haven't been to WDW, but I'd have to agree with
Bryan. Indy is the best attraction ever!

Soarin Over California
I love the others, but there are similar rides at WDW. For
example,
Dinosaur is the same type of ride as Indy. Space Mountain
at WDW has the same track as Matterhorn here. We have
California Screamin, but WDW has Rock N Roller Coaster.
Soarin is unique, but I guess not for long since they are
creating one there also.

Soarin Over California is one of my favorite rides
anywhere (and they are building a version of this at Disney
World now). I also liked California Screamin.
In Disneyland I liked the Matterhorn, and the Disneyland
versions of Small World and Pirates of the Caribbean are
much better than their Disney World versions.

A little background--I
grew up in So. CA, not far from Disneyland, so was very
familar with the park. Then we moved to the east coast,
and we've been going to WDW with only occasional trips to
DL. This past summer we were at DL, so we spent a lot of
time talking about the differences between WDW and DL. We
also compared the original rides to the WDW ones, and found
in almost all cases that the DL version is superior to WDW
in detailing and ambiance. For example--Haunted Mansion,
Peter Pan, and It's A Small World especially stood out this
way. Another advantage to DL--not one of the attractions
that I recall dumped us out into a gift shop.
Well....that's probably
not the type of info you were looking for.... :-)
If I had to pick the one best thing....Indiana Jones, with
Mr Toad and the Matterhorn tied for second.
